A 14-month-old child died in Reims on Friday, October 12, as a result of his injuries. Suspicions of abuse led police to place a couple in custody.

The intervention of the relief was not enough: a baby of 14 months died of his injuries Friday, October 12 in Reims (Marne). A couple has been indicted, according to France 3 Grand Est.

The child is reported to have exhibited signs of ill-treatment, which suggests that there are deliberate and regular maltreatments: beatings, wounds, burns. Transported to the American Hospital of the city, the baby did not survive.

An investigation was opened and entrusted to the Regional Service of judicial police. The prosecutor refused to speak on the case.
