This Thursday, December 6, 2018, twenty-three employees of Afpa Quimper (Finistère) are on strike and fourteen of them went to Paris where the national mobilization takes place. The objective: to bend the management to abandon the closure of several of its training centers and the removal of 1,541 positions.

Thursday, December 6, 2018, twenty-three employees of the National Agency for Adult Vocational Training (Afpa) Quimper (Finistère) are on strike. Fourteen of them went to Paris to participate in the national mobilization.

The appointment is fixed at 2 pm, Montparnasse station. Then, the procession will go to the Ministry of Labor where an audience with the Minister Muriel Penicaud was requested by the trade unions supporting the strike movement (CGT, CFDT, FO, CFTC).

For several months, the strikers have been demanding that the management and the government abandon the closure of 38 training centers and the removal of 1,541 jobs on permanent contracts. Fifty jobs would be threatened throughout Brittany.

Since 1946, Afpa has trained 7 million trainees, 70% of whom have found a job.
