As the TASS reports, the president visited the construction site of the planned judicial quarter, where the acting governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov presented the head of state with a project to build buildings for the Supreme Court and the judicial department of the park area and theatrical and exhibition complex.
It is noted that we are talking about the "Art Park". Putin supported this proposal.
In response to questions from journalists, he suggested that the park would be even “slightly better” than Zaryadye in Moscow.
“Look, firstly, the scale of which, secondly, the place, right on the bank of the Neva, then exit to the Peter and Paul Fortress and the spit of Vasilyevsky Island. Species worthy of world capitals, "- said Putin.
He added that this is a very good project and “let them compete” with Moscow.
“It is always good,” he stressed.
According to the presented layouts and presentations, it is planned that a multilevel complex will be created at this place, the main area on the surface of which will be taken by the park zone.
As expected, the “Art Park” will have theater, concert and lecture halls, as well as workshops, a cinema, art galleries, art exchanges and a gastronomic cluster.
To improve the transport situation, it is planned to organize underground parking for 1.5 thousand places.
