In the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the National Press Union of Congo (UNPC) and Journalist in Danger (JED) are raising their voices. The two organizations are asking the new President of the Republic, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, to facilitate the work of journalists. It was during a two-day workshop held in Kinshasa.

They reflected on the work of journalism as practiced in the country, and participants in the work organized by the UNPC and JED associations have finally concluded that there are several obstacles to good journalism.

In total, eighteen recommendations were addressed to the new President of the Republic. It takes real press companies and competent facilitators to manage the communication sector, explained Prof. Jean-Chrétien Ekambo Duasengé of the Faculty Institute of Information and Communication Sciences (IFASIC).

" Create a true Ministry of Information that is not only given to a leader who is expected to speak on behalf of the state, on behalf of the government, " he explains.

Policy makers are therefore called upon to organize the information sector .

" First of all, to work as a Minister of Information, to manage the information sector which has to support men, companies, customers. That's what I hear, "says Jean-Chrétien Ekambo Duasengé.
