“It’s a shame and wildness, when in the 21st century, in a country that calls itself European, people have nothing to feed their children because they don’t get money earned for their work,” the leader of the Opposition Platform - For Life said meeting with representatives of coal trade union organizations.

On January 2, employees of the Kurakhovskaya mine of SE Selidovugol in the Donetsk region went on a hunger strike, demanding to pay off wage arrears.

The Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine later reported nearly 200 million hryvnia to the miners.

Earlier it was reported that the workers of the mine stopped the hunger strike after partial payment by the authorities of salaries for September and October.
