The Palestinian reconciliation government yesterday criticized the positions of the American administration and accused it of "bias towards the Israeli occupation and everything that undermines peace efforts in the Middle East and the world."

The government, in a statement after its weekly cabinet meeting in Ramallah, condemned the administration's obstruction of a UN Security Council resolution a few days ago on halting the latest Israeli military escalation in the Gaza Strip.

The government said that Washington's positions were "a mockery of the international community, a concession to the Israeli occupation and aggression and an attempt to break and destroy the foundations of international law and legitimacy."

The government also condemned a US draft resolution in the UN General Assembly condemning Hamas, saying that "Israel, the occupying power, bears full responsibility as a result of continued occupation and settlement."

The Palestinian Authority has boycotted the administration since its announcement last December to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation army arrested at dawn yesterday 20 Palestinians during a campaign of arrests carried out in different parts of the West Bank.

According to the seventh channel, the Israeli army arrested the people described as "wanted", allegedly for their participation in security activities .. Noting that the detainees have been transferred for interrogation with the security authorities in Israel.

In a related context, the Hebrew channel reported that the Israeli army found three pieces of homemade weapons in the village of Beit Fajar district of Bethlehem and confiscated.

On the other hand, the Israeli High Court of Justice rejected a petition filed by residents of the Silwan neighborhood south of Jerusalem to prevent the evacuation of 700 Palestinians from the neighborhood, according to the Israeli newspaper "Haaretz".

According to the newspaper, the Israeli court allowed the right-wing organization "Ateret Kohnim" to evacuate the residents of the neighborhood, although judges earlier ruled that the procedure was flawed and questions were raised about the transfer of land to the organization.

In Gaza, the Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, published pictures of "members of a special Israeli force" that infiltrated the Gaza Strip on May 11.

Eight photographs of six men and two women were posted on the Qassam website, as well as two pictures of a vehicle and a truck used by the Israeli force inside the Gaza Strip.

The Brigades said in a military statement that they "managed to reach advanced stages in uncovering the threads of the special and dangerous operation initiated by the Israeli force to carry out and were discovered east of Khan Younis" in the southern Gaza Strip.
