“Russian pensions to citizens permanently residing in Ukraine, including in Donetsk and Lugansk regions, are not assigned. When these citizens move to permanent residence in Russia, their pension coverage will be carried out in the general manner according to the norms of the legislation of our country, ”Interfax reports the press service of the FIU.

The FIU noted that between Moscow and Kiev there is a pension agreement, according to which pensions are appointed and paid by the country where a person lives permanently, regardless of his passport.

On the eve, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree according to which residents of certain regions of Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine can apply for Russian citizenship under a simplified scheme.

The DNR called the vital decision of Moscow on passports.

The President of the Ukrainian Analytical Center, Alexander Okhrimenko, in an interview with NSN, appreciated Russia's decision to simplify citizenship for residents of certain regions of the Lugansk and Donetsk regions of Ukraine.
