During his visit to the friendly People's Republic of China, the UAE delegation headed the UAE delegation to the International Road and Belt Cooperation Forum in Beijing, which started yesterday, April 27, with the participation of some 40 heads of state, From around the world, and delegations from some 150 countries and international organizations, the most important event on China's 2019 agenda.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum held a meeting with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang at the guest house in Beijing on ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in light of the joint visions of the future of bilateral relations. During the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed praised the prosperity witnessed by UAE-China relations in the light of the established foundations of the exemplary relations between the two countries of mutual respect and keenness to take into account common interests. The leaderships of the two countries represent a strong boost to the bilateral relations, reinforcing the vision of a future of opportunities. President Xi Jinping's historic visit to the UAE last year marked a major strategic turning point in bilateral relations, As well as the expression of the strength of the common political will to advance these relations and to create the conditions for their development and consolidation.

He expressed his appreciation for the vision of the Chinese leadership to strengthen cooperation with the Arab region and the world, and the approach of openness expressed by the initiative of the belt and the road which brings together dozens of countries on a set of strategic objectives with great positive economic returns to the countries covered by the initiative, 70 countries.

For his part, the Chinese premier expressed his appreciation for the influential role played by the UAE at the regional and international levels in light of the vision of the UAE leadership and its keenness to activate the UAE's contribution as a driving force for positive development, not only in the Arab context, Noting the great developmental achievements achieved by the State in the context of its busy journey, and the adopted projects and future plans to develop a full awareness of the requirements of development based on the well-being of the community and happiness.

Li Keqiang hailed the UAE's tolerance-based approach to creating a climate conducive to creativity and welcome creators, and opened the way for them to participate in various development paths on the basis of respect for competencies, and given them all the elements of growth and prosperity, in a framework of harmony and tolerance which succeeded Stressing that the excellent development model that the state was able to build helps to create more opportunities for cooperation between China and the UAE, especially in the fields of investment, scientific and cultural, in addition to the fields of energy And technology in the light of the visions of consensus on the importance of establishing clear foundations for the future development.

Raising the level of cooperation

The two-day Forum for International Co-operation and Development will discuss ways to increase cooperation among the countries within the initiative, and are expected to number more than 70 countries, with a population of about 4.4 billion.

The forum comes at a time when Chinese President Xi Jinping's road and road initiative in 2013 enjoys global support, with more than 120 countries sign cooperation agreements with China, as well as 29 international organizations, As a new phase of international cooperation, building new bridges of confidence at the global level and promising opportunities for growth in order to achieve a better tomorrow under the umbrella of cooperation in addressing common global challenges, especially in economic and development.
