Medvedev noted that this "monstrous crime can not be justified."

On March 15, as a result of a double terrorist attack in the mosques of the city of Christchurch, at least 49 people died and about 50 were injured.

As part of the investigation, three people were detained.

Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a telegram of condolences to the Prime Minister of New Zealand, Jasinde Ardern, in connection with the terrorist attack in Christchurch.
