An attack with explosives hidden on a corpse left 17 civilians dead and 15 wounded in Mali. The investigators' suspicions are focused on alleged jihadists.
Diankabou is a small town in the center of Mali, located a few tens of kilometers from the city of Koro. In a village in this town, a man who went out to look for hay for his animals is missing. His parents organize a real fight to find him.
After several hours, they discover his body. The man was murdered. His relatives decide to repatriate the body. They are approaching. Great noises, a series of explosions .... The corpse was trapped. 17 civilians were killed instantly, 15 others wounded.
The defense and security forces quickly went to the scene to assist them. The death of civilians has created a stir in this part of central Mali.
