Earlier, the foreign ministers of Iran and Iraq, Mohammad Javad Zarif and Muhammad Ali al-Hakim, respectively, during the talks discussed the possibility of restoring the status of Syria in the Arab League.
The League of Arab States is a regional intergovernmental organization established in 1945.
Syria’s membership in the organization was suspended in 2011 due to a conflict in the country.
