A man exhibited a handgun in front of a checkpoint of Yellow Vests, in Octeville-sur-Mer, near Le Havre, on the night of Monday to Tuesday. A gesture made "to laugh", he explained to the police after his arrest.

On the night of Monday 3 to Tuesday, December 4, 2018, a man took out a weapon in front of a dam of Yellow Vests, in Octeville-sur-Mer, near Le Havre, reports actu.fr

The man was a passenger of a vehicle, driven by a woman, whom the demonstrators saw turning several times around the roundabout where the scene took place.

Yellow jackets, worried, were able to transmit to the police the license plate of the vehicle. It allowed the arrest, the next morning, of the driver, a 19 year old woman, who delivered the identity of his passenger.

Arrested in turn, the latter would have acknowledged "having exhibited a handgun, without pointing to the yellow vests, to laugh".

A gas pistol and 10 g of cannabis resin were found during the search carried out at his home. The 27-year-old man will be summoned to court for gun violence, narcotics possession, and carrying a category D weapon.
