During the conference, Russian and Vietnamese experts in the field of world and regional politics and economics will consider the prospects for the development of the Asia-Pacific region in modern conditions, and will discuss topical issues of promoting the Russian-Vietnamese comprehensive strategic partnership.
At the end of December 2018, State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin during a meeting with Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Suan Fouk noted that "high-level meetings give a dynamic to relations between Russia and Vietnam."
