Karasin noted that difficulties in the process of developing relations between Russia and Georgia remain.

“The main one is the NATO agenda of Tbilisi, the desire of the Georgian authorities to be as close as possible to the Euro-Atlantic structures, the holding of large-scale military exercises in the territory of this country,” RIA Novosti quotes Karasin.

Earlier, Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili said that Georgia "is practically on the verge of NATO."
