Mahmoud Al-Sharaan - Amman

The Israeli government on Saturday summoned the Jordanian ambassador to Tel Aviv Ghassan al-Majali following the publication of a picture showing Jordanian government spokeswoman Jumana Ghneimat trampling the Israeli flag during her visit to the trade union complex in Amman last Thursday.

She did not think she would enter the back door of the union headquarters, as Prime Minister Dr. Omar al-Razaz did before the meeting with representatives of trade unions, according to Jordanian sources.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the affairs of Jordanian expatriates did not miss the scene. Sources from the ministry told Al-Jazeera.net that the Jordanian ambassador was not summoned to Tel Aviv and avoided making official statements about the matter or answering questions from journalists.

"A new crisis between Jordan and Israel," wrote Shimon Aran, a political analyst and correspondent for the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation, in a tweet published on Twitter. "A number of ministers of the Jordanian government arrived last Thursday at the headquarters of trade unions in Amman, Prime Minister Omar al-Razaz avoid walking on a large picture of Israeli flag placed in the entrance until trampled feet and entered through a side gate."

Israel raised a strong protest to Jordan over the picture, and summoned the representative of the Jordanian embassy in Tel Aviv Ghassan Majali to protest in front of him Sunday at the Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem, according to the newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth.

For his part, the Jordanian ambassador in Tel Aviv will explain the incident when he was summoned to the ministry, according to the Israeli newspaper The Times.

The position of the Jordanians did not differ with the behavior of Ghneimat, which was in favor of its action, denouncing the action of the Prime Minister, who chose to enter from the back door, recalling Wadi Araba and their refusal.

"If you believe in diplomatic and political relations with the Zionist entity, then you will read peace on the homeland," Lian wrote on her Facebook page.

"Today I will stand with Jumana Ghneimat as long as the government of the Zionist entity has been provoked because of its flag the flag of the occupier at the entrance of the unions. Today the government of the occupation carried out their resistance and did all they could protest because the Minister of Information and the Mayor of Amman danced with their shoes on the flag."

"The latest news of the involvement of the government of Al-Razzaz in a diplomatic crisis because Jumana Ghneimat was aware of Israel's decree on the ground at the entrance to the union complex, and it is certain that it knows its existence, otherwise it is what is called on it and its portrayal is invalid, President Razaz was smarter and entered from the door Back to avoid the subject ".

"We disagree with Her Excellency Minister Ghunaimat in some situations and things, but the compass of all Jordanians is one, which is that the usurper entity is an enemy and we denounce its media, we respect its honorable position, it represents the position of all Jordanians."

"All the officials who enter the unions trample the flag, even King Hussein did it," according to the head of Jordanian lawyers Mazen Arshidat.

Arshidat pointed out to Al-Jazeera Net that what was published that the Prime Minister did not enter the main door to trample the flag is not true, but entered the side door security at the request of security guards as a security measure.
