Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasimi said that the UAE is speaking more than its size and has a major and fundamental responsibility for the humanitarian disaster in Yemen.

During his weekly press conference, Qassimi said UAE officials were speaking more of their size and the size of their country, describing their statements as empty.

The official said that the UAE bears great responsibility for the ongoing humanitarian disaster in Yemen and the aggression against the Yemeni people.

He stressed that this "aggression will not reach a result, and the UAE will remain hostage deadlock there, so trying to create a new imaginary enemy in order to reduce the burden of its responsibilities towards the crimes in Yemen."

In response to accusations by Abu Dhabi, the Iranian official said that his country does not send any weapons or forces to Yemen. "These are empty charges. I think that Abu Dhabi will later discover the mistake of its policies in Yemen, especially as it conflicts with its interests as a state."

Earlier, Stone invited Iranian Vice President Hassan Rowhani to consider relations with the UAE at all levels because of what he called "hostile positions".

In a related context, the Iranian Foreign Ministry described the idea of establishing an "Arab NATO" against Iran as a mere slogan will not be achieved.

US and Arab officials revealed two days ago - according to Reuters - that the administration of President Donald Trump is moving forward in efforts to form an Arab alliance similar to NATO to address the expansion of Iran in the region.

The alliance carries the name "Middle East Strategic Alliance", and Trump's administration seeks to include America, the Gulf states, Egypt and Jordan.

According to several sources, the Trump administration hopes to discuss the formation of the alliance at a summit tentatively scheduled for October 12-13 in Washington.
