Investments. A renovated nursery and a business hotel inaugurated in Plabennec

The community of communes of the Abers country has renovated the business incubator and has just created a business hotel, both located in the area of ​​Penhoat.

Friday morning, Christian Calvez, president of the CCPA (community of communes of the country of Abers) and Bernard Giberges, vice-president in charge of the economy, many elected and staff of the CCPA but also Yvan Bouchier, sub-prefect of Brest, inaugurated the business hotel that the CCPA has just created in the area of ​​Penhoat in Plabennec. The group also visited the business incubator, which has just been completely renovated.

The business incubator was commissioned in July 2002. It was conceived as a local desire to implement a powerful tool for business creation policy thanks to premises adapted to moderate prices (from 3 at € 6 per m²).

In 2015, the community of communes validated the renovation of the nursery which now has six offices and six workshops. It welcomes young companies for a period of three to four years.

Renovation work and workshop development totaled € 365,000, half of which was subsidized by the State.

A dozen companies

Regarding the business hotel, it was created in the former offices of the ADMR (Rural Home Help), purchased in 2013 by the CCPA. These premises welcomed the services of the community of communes during the renovation of the Lac house.

The hotel can accommodate a dozen companies, rather services, because here no workshops, only offices with a meeting space in common. Rents are slightly higher than at the nursery (€ 8 per m²). "Ideally, entrepreneurs who start an activity at the nursery will then come to the business hotel," said Christian Calvez.

As the building has already been renovated to accommodate CCPA services, the work was less important than at the nursery. They amount to € 157,000, half of which is financed by a grant from the State.

These two projects also benefited from a subsidy under the parliamentary reserve of the deputy of the district, Didier Le Gac: € 10,000 for the nursery and € 15,000 for the business hotel.
