Already sentenced to ten years in prison in 2011
Sofiane Boukhedimi was arrested in a beautiful apartment in Courbevoie, in western Paris, overlooking the towers of La Défense. He had already been sentenced to ten years in prison in 2011 by the Criminal Court of Marseille in a sprawling file of drug trafficking involving forty suspects, acting in France, Spain, Morocco and Algeria. According to a source close to the case, the trafficker on probation under judicial control was allowed to travel to Colombia.
At the trial ten years ago, the prosecutor pointed out that the man had been sentenced for the first time to two years in prison during his teenage years, a rare sentence for a minor. "It signals a promising career and he did not disappoint us," he had pleaded in his indictment.
Eight others in custody
Eight others were taken into custody. The investigation is open notably for importation of narcotics in organized gang, money laundering of drugs, association of criminals, scam, and false and use of forgery in private writing.
