Demonstrators took to the streets with posters and photographs of the Caliph, demanding an end to violence against the media in Libya.

“Supporting a free press is protecting our right to know the truth,” says one of the posters.

Mohammed Khalifa, who collaborated with Ruptly, was killed during clashes in Tripoli.

As his colleagues noted, Khalifa was a reliable and modest person.

He began working with Ruptly in 2016: he prepared about 30 materials for the agency. For three years, he provided Ruptly with materials prepared by him in difficult conditions.
