A party banned for import into Russia was discovered on April 19. Four tons of apples were hidden in a truck under five tons of potatoes.
“Apples in impersonal black boxes were imported into Russia without phytosanitary certificates ... This fact once again testifies to the lack of proper control by the phytosanitary service of the Republic of Belarus,” the message indicated.
It is noted that the seized apples were subsequently destroyed.
Earlier, the Rosselkhoznadzor called on the FSB to stop the “gray” transit from Belarus.
