She also thanked the author of the monument Zurab Tsereteli.
It is noted that the monument to the Nobel laureate is made of bronze and weighs 1.5 tons.
Earlier it was reported that the grand opening of the monument to Alferov will take place on April 16 at 12:00.
The Nobel Prize winner died on March 2 at the age of 88 due to acute cardiopulmonary insufficiency.
