The corresponding draft law, as the newspaper “Izvestia” writes, will be considered in the coming months.

It is noted that the question of how to fix in the law the concept of depicting a map of Russia and determine the order of its application is also being resolved.

The publication reminds that currently in Russia there is no punishment for the incorrect display of state borders.

At the same time, up to 3 thousand rubles may be charged for the incorrect name of geographical objects.

Earlier it was reported that NewsOne television channel would be checked in Ukraine after going on the air with a map of Ukraine without Crimea.

In early November, an investigation was organized in Ukraine because of the demonstration of the map with the Russian Crimea by the head of the State Service for Transport Safety Mikhail Nonyak.

Crimea became the Russian region after the referendum held there in March 2014, in which the majority of the inhabitants of the peninsula called for reunification with Russia.
