The death of Horacio Sala, the father of Argentinian Emiliano, who was killed on January 21 after his plane crashed from Nantes, France, to Cardiff, capital of Wales, was announced by the mayor of an Argentine village.

Julio Moller said Horacio, 58, was found dead Friday in his bed in the village of Progreso in Argentina as a result of a heart attack.

"I can not believe what happened, is it a dream? It's a nightmare, I lost hope," he told the local press.

The body of Emiliano Sala was found at the bottom of the sea weeks after the search for her, while the body of the pilot of the private plane - traveling by Sala - is missing.

Sala, who came from Nantes to Cardiff City for about $ 19 million, was the most expensive deal in the history of the club, but he did not miss much, as he died in a plane crash.

The plane, carrying 28-year-old Argentine striker Sala to Wales from France after signing the Cardiff contracts, disappeared from the radar screens as it crossed the Channel.
