"At this moment, a plane arriving in Cucuta with humanitarian aid from the US ... We will continue to look for ways to import food and medicine that Venezuelans need," the opposition leader wrote in his Twitter account.
He also thanked the US government.
Earlier, US Vice President Mike Pence announced the allocation of $ 56 million for Latin American countries providing humanitarian aid to Venezuela.
