Alexandre Benalla is again summoned to the Senate Law Committee on Monday, 21 January at 14:00. After the hearings of Patrick Strzoda, the chief of staff Emmanuel Macron, and interior ministers, Christophe Castaner, and Foreign Affairs, Jean-Yves Le Drian, who have charged, he will have to explain on the use of the diplomatic passports he had kept, contrary to what he had said in September before the same commission. This earned him to be indicted Friday for "public use and without the right to a document justifying a professional quality." How will Alexandre Benalla defend himself?

Alexandre Benalla declared last December that he would no longer be silent. A thinly veiled threat to reveal secrets if we continued to annoy him. Will he go further before the senators and make new embarrassing statements for the head of state, as when he said he was still in contact with Emmanuel Macron, forcing him to concede that he had answered two of his text messages ? This is the challenge of this new audition.

Last week before the senators, Patrick Strzoda , Emmanuel Macron's chief of staff, had put Alexandre Benalla in question by saying that he suspected him of having falsified documents. Statements that show that now, on the side of the presidency, it is no longer a question of sparing Alexandre Benalla.

The Elysian parade seems to be, as indicated Sunday by the spokesman of the government Benjamin Griveaux, to take note of the existence of malfunctions described as " unbearable and incomprehensible to the French, " but to have it worn the main responsibility to Alexandre Benalla.

Dislodging dysfunctions is the angle of attack of senators to avoid interfering with justice. But for them, no question of leaving aside the responsibility of the Elysee.
