Four students, studying at the Higher Colleges of Technology in Sharjah, have devised a project to reduce the incidence of children falling out of windows.

The students, Hamda Ibrahim, Asma Ali, Muhra Mohammed and Anoud Khalid, said that "their project (the smart grid) provides an innovative solution to the incidents of children falling from the windows."

"The idea is to install a sensor system that senses the movement of the objects inside the balcony. Once the person opens the balcony door, the system starts to work. When the person enters the balcony, the sensors operate, and the network is shut down," Mahra Mohammed told Emirates Today. Porch".

"The project can be applied to windows without the need for sensors, just by setting the system to work by opening the window to bring down the protection network," she said. "They are currently working on developing the project so that the father and mother can control it remotely , As well as alert in the event of a failure ».

"She and her colleagues from the project team study various disciplines, including business administration, engineering and media, and worked on the project to provide an innovative system to protect children from falling," said student Hamda Ibrahim.
