The American University in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) organized an information forum entitled "The Power and Trends of Media", which was attended by a large number of media professionals, bloggers and local and Gulf TV projects, including Emirati director Habib Ghuloom, Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, CEO of Omnis Media, Nasser Al Sarami.

During the four sessions, the forum shed light on several topics ranging from how to switch from classical media to a world full of influential and inspirational characters, how to harness the power of social media and media media, and the impact of filmmaking on society and culture.

The Director of Human Resources at the Dubai Media Incorporated, Fatima Matar, stressed the importance of the role of human resources in attracting new technologies, evaluating administrative processes, competencies and structures to identify gaps and developing a clear strategy for training and developing cadres working in the sector.

She noted that advanced digital technologies and the fourth industrial revolution would create new jobs requiring high skills.
