Elysee boss Emmanuel Macron stops the European election campaign because of the big fire in the cathedral Notre-Dame. This was announced by politician Nathalie Loiseau, who is organizing the campaign called "Renaissance" by the ruling En-Marche movement (LREM) for the European elections.

"We all experience a moment of extreme sadness," Loiseau wrote on Twitter. The "Renaissance" list of candidates for the European elections was "understandably part of this moment of national unity". The campaign is therefore suspended until further notice.

The fire broke out on Monday night in the world-famous cathedral in the heart of Paris. The flames devastated the sacred building, the roof truss was ablaze. The fire is now completely deleted.
