"At the request of the authorities of the LPR, emergency workers are sent to the emergency area to assist and conduct rescue operations at the mine, including a team of mine rescuers from the Emergencies Ministry," the Russian department said.

Earlier, the Lugansk Information Center reported that an accident had occurred at the Shidkarbon mine in the village of Yuryevka, Lutuginsky District. The head of LC Leonid Pasechnik took personal control over the elimination of the consequences of the accident.
