Egyptian military support for Hafer and ongoing clashes on the outskirts of Tripoli

Local sources in the Egyptian city of Marsa Matrouh confirmed the entry of Egyptian armed support through the gate of the border city with Libya at dawn Sunday, heading to the forces of retired brigade Khalifa Hafater and coming from camps for the Egyptian army in western Egypt.

The sources said that the support is represented in iron containers containing weapons and quantities of ammunition with armored vehicles, pointing out that the Egyptian authorities closed the border suddenly in front of citizens of the two countries for hours until the end of the transit of military shipments to Libya.

The sources pointed out that the camps from which these shipments came from armed, located in the vicinity of a military airport had taken off earlier by the UAE warplanes to carry out air strikes in the cities of Benghazi and Derna in previous years.

Tripoli clashes
This comes at a time of renewed clashes in various types of weapons between the forces of Hafar and the forces of the national reconciliation government in the axis of "Khalla-Ain Zara", south of the Libyan capital Tripoli.

Hafar's forces tried to advance from this axis towards the capital, but the forces of the Wifaq government sent reinforcements to repel the attack.

The Air Force of the Government of National Reconciliation launched two raids on the Jendouba area south of Gharian, targeting positions of the Hafar forces.

Al-Jazeera correspondent Ahmed Khalifa said that the clashes are still continuing in the fighting hubs on the southern border of Tripoli, where it resonates clearly in the capital, pointing out that the most urgent axis today is the axis of "Khallet al-Furjan-Yarmouk," where the forces of Haftar control of the camp Yarmouk, one of the largest camps in the south of the capital, but later withdrew from it after a counter-attack by the forces of the government of Al-Wefaq.

The correspondent added that the forces of Haftar took control of this camp using heavy weapons and the implementation of the process of encircling the positions of the forces of reconciliation, but later reached support to the forces of reconciliation and managed to force Hafar forces to withdraw from this camp.

Al-Jazeera correspondent reported that continuous clashes continue in several axes along the southern strip of the capital, Tripoli, at a time when the forces of the Reconciliation Government, what can be described as "squabble" on the forces of Haftar, which is confined inside an area in the southern strip of the capital.

The Reconciliation Forces have made progress within the administrative boundaries of the Terhouna region, which has the operational room that is attacking the capital, and has senior military commanders in Haftar.

Political positions
Politically, Tunisian Foreign Minister Khamis Jahnawi said the effort was now to stop the bleeding of the Libyan blood and reach an immediate cessation of hostilities.

After the meeting of representatives of the African Union Commission in Tunis, Jahnawi said that what is happening in Libya is no longer acceptable.

Qatari Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman al-Thani condemned what he called the brutal bombing of residential neighborhoods in the Libyan capital Tripoli.

"The targeting of civilians to create chaos and hit institutions and vital targets is a war crime for the perpetrators and their supporters," the Qatari foreign minister said in a tweet on Twitter.

The Qatari minister added in another tweet that political hypocrisy and double standards have burdened the Arab world and formed a fertile environment for the growth of terrorism. Some Arab countries, while claiming to fight terrorism, are using their instruments to terrorize Arab peoples.
