According to a Washington Post count, Donald Trump has made 10,000 "false or misleading" statements, sometimes repeatedly, since his arrival at the White House.

After a little over 800 days in power, US President Donald Trump has just crossed a milestone: that of 10,000 statements "false or misleading," according to the Washington Post count. The project, led by the Fact Checker team of the American daily, was originally supposed to focus on the first 100 days of its presidency but continued beyond that.

It is during his meetings "Make America Great Again" that Donald Trump takes the most liberties with reality and the facts: 22% of his false or misleading statements were made in this context.

Lies often repeated

Another notable feature is that the Republican billionaire tends to repeat countless times the same erroneous formula. Since he arrived at the White House in January 2017, he has collected 21 "Pinocchios without end" (Bottomless Pinocchio), awarded by the daily following strict criteria: the false statement must have received 3 or 4 Pinochhios and have been repeated at least 20 times.
