Shufrich added that the law contradicts Article 10 of the Constitution, the second part of which guarantees the right to use Russian and other minority languages in all spheres of activity and guarantees the development of these languages.
Earlier, the Verkhovna Rada adopted a law on the exclusive use of the Ukrainian language in a multitude of areas, including in state and local government bodies, in educational institutions and hospitals.
The elected president of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, in turn, said that the document would be analyzed for compliance with the country's Constitution.
