In Chad, the army helicopter disappeared from the radar since March 13 was found. The aircraft, on a mission for Faya, in the north of the country, crashed. The crew members are all dead.

The wreck of the MI-24 of the Chadian army was reported Thursday late in the day 70 kilometers south-west of Faya-Largeau with the bodies of four crew members. As early as last night, a reconnaissance mission was dispatched to the scene to confirm the information.

This Friday morning, a helicopter took off from Faya-Largeau for the crash site with a team to recover the bodies and another to inspect the debris of the craft. An investigation was initiated to determine the reasons for the crash that was variously interpreted during the search time.

The MI-24, a helicopter very used by the Chadian army, was on mission towards Faya-Largeau, on March 13th. But he did not give any news forcing the Chadian army to take off the next day reconnaissance aircraft. The research was supported by US and French efforts deployed in Chad in the fight against terrorism.
