A poster encouraging Roundup's "stockpile" before sale ban in December was photographed in the Bricomarché shelves in Carhaix (Finistère). Posted on Twitter, Friday, October 12, the announcement has angered users. The store management apologizes.

Friday, October 12, the Bricomarché de Carhaix made the bad buzz on social networks. A customer has photographed a poster in the gardening department on which the store announces: " Destockage before ban on sale on 12/31/18. Make your stock !!! For the Roundup weed killer product, glyphosate.

It will be banned for sale to individuals in France from 1 January 2019.

Extraordinary the Bricomarché de Carhaix which encourages to make stocks of crap before their ban ... pic.twitter.com/fZ2CHHuSq7

In a few hours, indignant Internet users lambasted the store. The management then posted a statement on the Facebook account of the store. She announces to have removed the poster of the ray and makes her mea culpa:

"We have taken into account the dissatisfaction of our customers regarding our gondola head on phytosanitary products. We are sorry for our clumsiness.

We became aware after your remarks of our mistake and we thank you. Even negative remarks allow us to move forward and from now on we will be more vigilant not to renew this kind of awkwardness.

This is a human error and not a provocation on our part, nor to want to make the buzz. We will therefore offer products in line with organic farming. Of course we removed our gondola head and the accompanying poster.

Thanking you for your understanding and hoping that this awkwardness is forgiven us. We remain at your disposal for any suggestions and remarks ".

On the shelves of the store, a new placard was installed: "We inform our customers that the phytosan products under showcase will be removed and banned for sale from January 1, 2019. Thank you for your understanding."
