At the party congress in Hannover, 1001 CDU delegates decide who will lead the conservatives in the future. According to the survey, 30 percent of the respondents would vote for the former Union faction leader Friedrich Merz, only ten percent for Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn. As with the previous survey in November, Kramp-Karrenbauer remains clearly in the lead.

Even with CDU supporters Merkel's confidant is 47 percent ahead. Merz was able to gain in the electorate favor of the Christian Democrats, but remains in the latest survey with 37 percent behind its rival. For Spahn spoke unchanged twelve percent of CDU supporters.
