The latest analyzes carried out on the Essarts production area between Courseulles-sur-Mer and Langrune-sur-Mer authorize the lifting of the fishing ban.
The temporary ban on mussel fishing activities on the Les Essarts production area, located off the coastal towns between Courseulles-sur-Mer and Langrune-sur-Mer, is lifted as from 23 October 2018. This ban been fixed by prefectural decree of 22 August 2018.
"The latest results of analyzes carried out on the mussels of the sector concerned have revealed an absence of toxicity and a good sanitary quality of the shells", indicates the prefecture. As a result, the mussel fishery off the above-mentioned coastal communities is again authorized until 30 November 2018.
