Radouan Leflahi, actor, performer, Thursday, November 22, Peer Gynt, for the duration of his life, in a total commitment yesterday at the theater Herouville.

We saw

If we judge by the standing ovation that closes every Caen representation and the unconditional love that his audience brings to Bobée, eternal child of the country, we would be tempted to believe - against the saying pronounced by Peer Gynt in the play - that it's actually possible to be

prophet in his country ...

David Bobée, director of the National Dramatic Center of Rouen since 2013, continues with this new creation his work of theatrical preaching.

We find his taste for work on the scenic space: decorative elements, such as this monumental pig's head but also supernatural lights signed as always by the magician Stéphane Babi Aubert, capable of transfiguring a plateau in a sea unleashed by the only strength of a backlight.

We also find the infallible faith in the great texts of the director who seizes the fable of Ibsen to talk about the complexity of the human adventure, the search for the self but also the rejection of the other, unfortunately more than ever.

In the service of this faith, a real work of troupe, where everyone is engaged, in its place and in its style: Radouan Leflahi, leading, who gives everything, but also excellent supporting roles like Thierry Mettetal, miraculous king of the Trolls or Grégori Miège, truculent blacksmith or crazy poet super inspired.

So in spite of a few lengths, we are swept away in this whirlwind of a life that ends where it began, in spite of the convolutions of the great wheel of existence, immense actions or small crimes and other vanities. And we keep Peer Gynt's mad quest for freedom in the midst of all this chaos. Like a wonderful echo to that of each of us.

Thursday, November 22 , at 19 h, at the Theater Herouville. From 5 to 25 €. Duration of the show: 3:40 with intermission.
