The streets of La Paz and most cities of the country are blocked by protesters who are protesting against another candidacy of Evo Morales for the next presidential election.

In October 2019 Bolivians will return to the polls to elect a new president. They had, in February 2016, said "no" in a referendum that asked them if Evo Morales, the current president, could stand for a fourth term. Well, yet the head of state will represent himself well. The Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE) has just approved its registration for the primaries. This is what caused the citizens' grumbling this time.

" A democracy in danger ", " We do not want to live in dictatorship ". That's what we hear today in the streets. Some even crucified themselves on the ground before the Supreme Electoral Tribunal.

" This crucifixion is a method of protesting against the decision of the Electoral Tribunal that goes against the Constitution and our vote of February 21, 2016, " said a protester.

The Movement for Socialism, the party of Evo Morales, turns a deaf ear. According to its activists, " the people are calling for Evo ".
