The spokesman of the government, Benjamin Griveaux, acknowledged Sunday "dysfunctions", including the Elysee in the Benalla case.

" There have been malfunctions and they must be resolved, " said Benjamin Griveaux on CNEWS and Europe 1, on the eve of a rehearing of Emmanuel Macron's former collaborator by a Senate committee of inquiry . " There were dysfunctions at the Elysee Palace and, moreover, that's what called for the reorganization of the services that the President of the Republic set up quickly, " he continued.

The spokesman stressed that there was, along with the parliamentary inquiry, " an indictment " of Alexander Benalla for use " without right " of his passports . It will allow the judicial authority to " say the responsibilities of each other that will, among other things, to ensure that these dysfunctions no longer occur. They are unbearable and incomprehensible to the French, "he said.

Asked about Alexandre Benalla's travels abroad with diplomatic passports, after having been thanked by the Elysee Palace at the end of July, Benjamin Griveaux replied that the ambassadors were not " permanently alerted to everything ". " We must stop the fantasies. It's not "The Bureau of Legends," said the government spokesman, referring to the television series featuring spies from the DGSE.
