The Board of Directors of the Arab Journalism Award, chaired by Diaa Rashwan and attended by the Secretary-General of the Award, Mona Ghanem Al Marri, adopted the winning works at the 18th session of the Award.

The council, which includes a number of senior Arab media personalities, was briefed on the candidates' work on the merits of the award committees in the 13 categories, in addition to the details of the evaluation process and the recommendations of the committee chairmen. The Deputy Director of the Award, Jassem Al Shamsi, presented the most important statistics for the participants during the current session and the new screening mechanism adopted by the Secretariat General to raise the evaluation process to be flexible and adapt to the changes in the press and media sector.

During the Board's meeting at the headquarters of the Dubai Press Club, Diaa Rashwan stressed the keenness of the Board of Directors of the Award to honor outstanding intellectuals and high-caliber press production and to deliver them to the platform of honoring Her Majesty. Successive sessions.

Mona Ghanim Al Marri said that the General Secretariat of the Award is keen to maintain the high professional standards that the Award will take in selecting and honoring the distinguished and creative Arab journalists from across the region and the world and doubling the work according to the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, patron of the award and the founder of the award, to be always a catalyst for diligence in creativity, and a motive for honest competition in the gallery of journalism, and ultimately good for the reader and recipient of an Arab journalist product, Mteaz and uniqueness.

She added that the judging and screening committees have made a commendable effort over the course of many weeks during which she toured the work of participating in the various categories of the award to choose the best ones to receive the due recognition. She stressed that the award is based on clear principles of integrity and objectivity in the selection process. Creativity, within the competition category in the award is proud to be one of the most important awards in this area in the world. She pointed to the developments witnessed by the award during the past few years under the umbrella of Mohammed Bin Rashid International Initiatives, especially those developments that contributed to the promotion of award categories, evaluation criteria and the new screening system for participating businesses.

The General Secretariat of the Arab Press Award will announce the names of the winners at the awards ceremony, which coincides with the conclusion of the Arab Media Forum, which will be held on March 27-28.

In a clear indication of the importance of winning the award at the level of the Arab world, the number of works received at the eighteenth session of the award reached 4486 works, with the participation of more than 2500 journalists and journalists from around the world.

The Deputy Director of the Award, Jassem Al Shamsi, said that the number of countries participating in this session has increased to 38 countries (20 Arab countries and 18 foreign countries). Egypt ranked first in the Arab world in terms of number of participations, which reached 1004 businesses by 22% of the total work this year, followed by the UAE, which advanced on the competition this year with 479 jobs, 11%, then Palestine with 438 jobs, Followed by Saudi Arabia with 394 jobs, 9%, followed by Morocco with 279 jobs, 7%, followed by Syria with 161%, with 4%.

The number of businesses, from all other States, was 1,732.
