Austria has accused Ukraine of censorship due to the entry ban of the journalist

"The ban on entry for the ORF correspondent Christian Vershutts to Ukraine is an unacceptable act of censorship in Europe," she wrote on Twitter.

Kneisl stressed that Vienna condemns this move, which is “completely incompatible with European core values,” and calls for the immediate lifting of the ban.

At the end of 2018, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Maria Zakharova invited Vershuttsu to go to the OSCE because of threats from nationalists in Ukraine.
