According to him, the Russian side allegedly “did not show any intention to return to compliance” by the INF.

“We are committed to arms control, but we don’t see Russia as a reliable partner in the INF Treaty or on other treaties that it violates,” he said.

He also stated that Washington and Moscow communicated “at a high level” on the INF mode about 30 times in five years.

Earlier, Lavrov reported risks for Europe due to the US intention to “bury” the INF.

On October 20, the United States announced plans to withdraw from the INF. The European Union called for preserving and strengthening the treaty.

Russia urged the United States to stop speculating on the topic of “Russian violations” of the INF Treaty.
