In the center of Athens, there is a multi-thousand rally of opponents to concluding an agreement with Macedonia, after ratifying which this country will become the Republic of Northern Macedonia. According to the Greek police, about 60 thousand people took to the square in front of the parliament, but the organizers of the rally say that more than 100 thousand protesters are participating in the rally and their number will increase. The participants demand that Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras not sign the Prespa Agreement, which has already been approved by the Macedonian Parliament and which is opposed by the overwhelming number of people in Greece. During the clash between the protesters and the police, 10 law enforcement officers were injured. The radically-minded part of the protesters throws security officials with stones, Molotov cocktails, paint cans and smoke bombs. Police use rubber batons and tear gas.
