Arab media and websites have stopped talking about the Egyptian origins of Rami Malik, who won the Oscars a few days ago, until the door opened again, but this time because of another actor.

A few hours ago, star Mina Massoud took part in the first full-length Disney commercial for Aladdin through his social networking platforms, starring Aladdin himself. "I still pinch myself sometimes just because I play this character Icon icon icon icon icon icon icon icon Comment I

Still pinch myself sometimes at the idea of playing this iconic character. His journey in this film is only something I could have dreamed of playing with. This trailer is only a sliver of the adventures you'll see this May. Get ready for a whole new world. #Aladdin pic.twitter.com/XQgcG6LI75

The thriller was enthusiastically received, especially since Disney's original "Aladdin" in 1992 was one of the most popular animation classics, and most importantly, it achieved a time of enormous public success; it was rated eight points on the AMDB site (IMDb), in addition to a technical success that culminated in the winning of two Oscar nominations out of five nominations, and three Golden Globe awards out of a total of six nominations.

Which makes the public raise its high expectations for the new live version of this work.

While the world is waiting for the film to be released, the Arab public in general and the Egyptian public reacted in a happier way, because the hero of the film Mena Masoud, although a Canadian actor, is of Egyptian origin.

Mina Massoud was born in Cairo in 1991, before his parents emigrated to Canada where he grew up and decided to study acting and theater arts at the University of Rayerson, Canada.

Mena began his relatively short career in 2011 by subscribing to short feature films and some television works, as well as his vocal performance in the "The Ninth" cartoon series.

But his clearest appearance and his talent did not materialize until after his participation in the American-Canadian Open Heart in 2015, in which he led Garrid Malik's character, and in 2017 he was selected for the live version of the famous Disney movie "Aladdin", which makes it undoubtedly a huge leap forward in both his career, or within the world of Hollywood.
