At the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un also commented on the ruptured meeting with US President Donald Trump. According to that, the US had acted in Hanoi two months ago in "bad intent". According to Kim, peace and security on the Korean peninsula are now dependent on future US behavior. This was said by North Korea's ruling powerhouse during the meeting with Putin, reported North Korea's state-run news agency KCNA.

Accordingly, Kim warned, "The situation on the Korean peninsula and in the region is stagnating and has reached a critical point where it can return to its original state." Arm yourself "for all sorts of situations".

Trump suggested conciliatory tones. The US president said it is doing very well in the talks with North Korea. "There are many advances." His relationship with Kim is great. There is much interest in concluding an agreement with North Korea. He appreciated the support of Russia and China on this issue.

Invitation to Putin

During the Trump-Kim summit in Hanoi, both sides had been unable to bridge their differences in North Korea's nuclear disarmament negotiations. North Korea calls for a gradual approach that goes along with US sanctions. The US government, on the other hand, expects comprehensive agreement on nuclear disarmament before making economic concessions.

On Thursday, Kim and Putin had met for the first time to a summit. The focus was on the controversial North Korean nuclear weapons program and bilateral cooperation.

According to the KCNA report, Kim invited Putin to come to North Korea "at a convenient time." Yuri Ushakov, Putin's foreign policy adviser, said there was no specific schedule for a visit.

The North Korean ruler then left earlier than expected with his armored train from the Russian port of Vladivostok. The reason why he abbreviated the visit program, was not clear at first.
