After almost five years: IS chief Bagdadi logs back with video

For the first time in five years, IS leader Abu Bakr al-Bagdadi has once again appeared in a propaganda video. In a video released Monday by the jihadist militia "Islamic State" (IS), al-Bagdadi refers to the end of the battles over the IS bastion Baghus in eastern Syria in March.

The only known public appearance of al-Baghdadi was in early July 2014 in the northern Iraqi Mosul, where he called all Muslims to obey the IS-caliphate.
