Hotel management in the Philippines has taken a firm stand on celebrities of social networking sites who are writing to the hotel in an attempt to get a free stay. Staff at White Beach Banana, which offers accommodation and a fine restaurant, claim they are fed up with people who send links to their blogs and claim they are celebrities, in order to get free gifts. So the hotel decided that was enough, and sent a public message to anyone thinking of sending such a request, via Facebook. "We are receiving messages about cooperation with celebrities and social impact, especially on Instagram, and we would like to announce that White Banana Hotel is not interested in collaborating with people who have declared themselves socially influential," says the letter, which attracted thousands of followers.

In contrast, the hotel management asked for another way to eat, drink or sleep free of charge without claiming fame. She later shared another message explaining the meaning of the "influential", saying: "But we want to make it clear that we are not against celebrities of communication. We are only against the exploiters who say of themselves that they are socially influential. The real effect is what others see as well, and does not see himself as influential. " "We have already cooperated with a number of real celebrities, under different terms and conditions, and we support them. There are real celebrities who have never contacted the hotel, because they do not need us, but we who need them."
