The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced that it had carried out 76,000 and 46 inspections through the Smart Control Center last year, including technical inspection centers for vehicles and driving education institutes.

The Director of the Inspection and Inspection Department at the Authority's Licensing Agency, Musa Al-Masri, confirmed the TRA's commitment to follow the best technical methods in ensuring that technical inspection centers and driving training institutes comply with the standards and requirements. He pointed out the implementation of 35,000 and 220 operations on technical inspection centers for vehicles, Technical and safety provisions stipulated in the technical examination legislation, and 40,826 operations on leadership training institutes, including compliance with the terms of opening files of new drivers and the theoretical and practical training of the leadership, E lack of commitment to the criteria set out in the fields.

"The Smart Control Center is one of the tools through which the performance of technical inspection centers and education institutes is evaluated and reports are sent to improve their performance if necessary," he said.

He pointed out that the number of field operations, during the past year, was 154,363 inspections, 29 thousand and 910 operations for technical inspection centers, and 76 thousand and 244 operations of the institutes of driving instruction, and 48 thousand and 209 operations for heavy vehicles.

He added that the center is an effective tool aimed at improving the safety of transport and traffic, and reducing accidents and deaths, by intensifying the supervisory role in the performance of technical inspection centers and institutes of education, through sophisticated technological devices to monitor any violation of laws and regulations.
