Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, announced the launch of the eighth session of the International Forum on Government Communication on March 20, under the slogan «Behavior change .. Human development», with the participation of about 70 practitioners and experts in communication from different countries of the world, They provide 37 interactive and inspiring sessions and a series of interactive workshops and forums.

The eighth session of the forum focused on developing mechanisms to analyze human behavior, adopt the latest awareness strategies and change the behavior of individuals, enhance their contribution to change the social outlook of education, and stimulate the partners of the educational process to build a culture of future skills, Changing mental health and rooting positive and sustainable ways of happiness.

The Director of the Information Office of the Government of Sharjah, Tarek Saeed Alai, said that the Forum is keen to launch initiatives and activities that meet its objectives and aspirations, pointing to a number of events of the eighth session, including the game (Sharjah 2071) to change behavior in cooperation with the Department of e-government, (Government Communication, Practices and Studies), and interactive platforms (Researchers Platform, Sheikh Sultan Award for Youth Capacities and Innovation Platform).

He added that the new activities of the forum include self-discovery stations, inspirational inspirational speeches and sessions, brainstorming sessions for adolescents, children, people with disabilities, parents, government liaison staff and experts, and specialized forums.

Alai explained that this year's Forum is hosting the 50th Anniversary of Participation in Cooperation with Expo 2020, which highlights the history of UAE participation in the Expo since 1970, and the day the UAE was chosen to host Expo 2020.

The Forum will launch an initiative called "60 Minutes of Communication", in cooperation with the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, during which participants will learn about an experienced framework in the field of social marketing, with the aim of reaching a stage of changing attitudes and behavior.
