The Municipality of Abu Dhabi City has announced plans to expand the green landscape through the construction of 66 parks, 53 new playgrounds and 30 projects for cosmetic landscaping on Abu Dhabi Island, expected to be completed by 2023.

The head of the planning and programming team in the municipality, Mohammed Rashid bin Lajrd, said that through municipal studies and public requests, Khalifa City needs nine parks, Mohammed bin Zayed City to four parks, Shakhbut city to 12 parks, and mainland areas to 34 parks, To 25 projects covering these gardens, and one project includes more than one garden.

He said in a press statement yesterday, during the opening of the 39th Forestry Week at Yas Park, that the events of the Foresting Week this year focused on strengthening the partnership with the community groups in order to achieve safety standards and maintain agriculture, parks, parks and green spaces, adding that work is underway in projects For cosmetic agriculture on several roads within 30 projects over the next five years.

He pointed out that the new projects will beautify the city of Abu Dhabi to be among the most beautiful cities in the world, pointing out that the municipality will rely on the plastic plantations, which includes the Gaf tree in line with the year of tolerance.

He said that the Municipality seeks to realize these values ​​through the implementation of many parks and parks projects, double the green areas, raise the percentage of each cultivated area, give the cosmetic plantations sufficient care, and establish the principles of sustainability in all its projects.

The park was opened by the General Manager of the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City, Saif Badr Al Qubaisi, in the presence of a number of executives and the public. The Al Ghaf tree was planted to express its interaction with the Year of Tolerance, as well as the opening of the accompanying exhibition, specialized workshops and planting seedlings.
